Decision-making
Executive Board
Tamy's Executive Board meets once a week – usually on Thursdays – during the academic year. Matters handled in the meetings are often discussed before the actual meeting in the Executive Board morning session. If you are interested in knowing what the Executive Board decides on, you can read the lists of decisions in English in Tamypedia.
Moreover, the Executive Board and the secretaries draw up a more detailed report on their hitherto activities for every Council of Representatives meeting.
Council of Representatives
Tamy's Council of Representatives meets approximately five times during the academic year, usually in one of the lecture halls at the University of Tampere. In spring, the past year's financial statement and plan of action are discussed. In autumn, the coming year's budget and plan of action are decided on and a new Executive Board is appointed. Otherwise matters under consideration are on the agenda.
The council's meetings are open to all members of Tamy, but discussion in the meetings mostly takes place in Finnish. The council's latest agenda can be read in English here and its lists of decisions in Tamypedia.
