Tamy has 15 open information lists, that provide channel for messages from different sources: some related to academic affairs, other environmental, depending of the list in concern. For international students there is the IS-list that provides information about the University, Student Union activities and local news in English.

IS-list - Info in English

This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it is an e-mail distribution list which every student can subscribe to through his/her own mail (although preferably from an @uta.fi address). The main language of the list is English and there are approximately 900 is-list subscribers, both international and Finnish students.

As a subscriber, you will then receive all the messages sent to the list and you can send your own messages as well. The list is intended as an information list about courses, happenings etc. Commercial messages and personal messages are not allowed, and the list moderator makes sure that inappropriate and spam messages will not reach the list.

How to subscribe?

The easiest way to subscribe is to do it via internet at
http://www.tamy.fi/lista/JoinList.php.

You may also join the list using mail commands. In that case send the following message: SUBSCRIBE is-list Your Name > to the address : This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Leave out normal signatures!

You will receive a notification that you have been added to the mailing list.

How to unsubscribe?

To unsubscribe from the list, just send the following message:
SIGNOFF is-list > to the address: list This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Leave out normal signatures!

You will recieve a notification that you have been removed from the mailing list.
