Student Union

Tamy is the students' very own Union. This means that the students themselves decide how Tamy operates. Tamy is also a statutory representative of students in the university.

The Student Union's main functions are defined in the Universities Act. Legally speaking Student Unions are corporations under public law. In practise Tamy organises and funds many study and free time related activities directly or through the variety of sub committees and organisations.

All the members of the Student Union may stand for candidate and vote for their representative for the Council of Representatives. The next elections will be held in November 2009. There are many opportunities for volunteer activities and participation within the student union.
