Welcome to Tampere!
Tamy membership fee is payable only
after arrival - the documents for the bank transfer will be given during the
registration procedure at the university. The application for the student card can also be filled during registration. Allthough tutors will
guide new students through the process, but if you want to do something
before arriving to Finland, get a passport size photo ready.
All our new incoming student will be
assigned with tutor, national and international alike. Tutor is a
fellow student, who will guide new students through the practical issues at
arrival and introduce the student life in Tampere. The tutor's contact information will be sent by e-mail to students and vice versa.

Downtown Orienteering is an event for all Tamy members, especially freshmen, and it involves teams getting to know the city and solving various puzzles organised by student organisations and others. An evening of orienteering around the city usually ends with a party at Yo-talo.

On our behalf, we want to welcome your warmly to University of Tampere
and equally to Our Student Union! Autumn semester offers plenty of
interesting activities to both newly arrived and those, who have
dwelled here already for a bit longer.
You can come to visit our office at Kauppakatu 10 anytime, if you have something on your mind. However, note the office hours.
During academic terms Tamy office is open Monday to Friday 9-11 a.m and 12 a.m. - 4 p.m.
