Environment
The purpose of Tamy's environmental sector is to give students a chance to acquire information about environmental matters both on and off campus and to participate in environmental activities. Thanks to the environmental sector's initiatives, Tamy has taken a stand on e.g. the arrangement of bicycle and pedestrian transport in Tampere. The sector is present in the annual Environment Days at the University and in various events the Committee for Environmental Affairs organizes. Moreover, Tamy has a representative in the University's Environment Group.
The heart of the environmental sector's activity is the Committee for Environmental Affairs that stands to replace the former Environment Section.
In Tamy's 2013 Executive Board, the person responsible for environmental affairs is Ms Anni Granat.
Tamy's Enviromental Programme
The activities of the environmental sector are guided by Tamy's environmental programme, which outlines Tamy's objectives and measures regarding environmental issues for the following years.
