Tampere City Public Transport. Tampere City Public Transport's website is the place to go if you need information about tickets and fares, timetables or how to get from one place to another either by bus or by bike. You can even use the traffic monitor to follow bus traffic in real time.

Want to go on a picnic? The most idyllic spot is the Hatanpää Arboretum. Another great picnic spot is the lush Viikinsaari Island. Boat connections operate from late May to mid-August.

Pyynikki Observation Tower and the Observation Tower Café. The Pyynikki Observation Tower offers a wonderful view over Tampere and its café sells what many people think are the best doughnuts in Finland. This attraction is a definite must!

Rajaportti Sauna and Rauhaniemi Public Saunas. The Rajaportti sauna block in the idyllic Pispala is the oldest public sauna still operating in Finland. In the Rauhaniemi Public Saunas, you can go for a swim in Lake Näsijärvi – even in winter! Could it get more Finnish than this?
