International email lists

Would you like to receive information about international affairs directly in your email?

Tamy's international sector has four email lists that will bring you all the information you need – directly in your email:

Kv-lista@uta.fi is a list for information about international affairs in Finnish. This list relays information about classes, seminars, jobs, student exchange opportunities and scholarships. Details about the meetings of the Committee for International Affairs are also posted here. In addition, the list operates as a discussion site for all things international.

Is-list@uta.fi supplies information about international matters in other languages than Finnish, mainly in English. For example, ESN and ISOT post all their events to the IS-list. If you are an international student, you definitely want to subscribe to this list!

Kehyryhma@uta.fi list passes on information regarding developing countries, such as classes, seminars, jobs, student exchange opportunities, scholarships and voluntary work opportunities in developing countries. In addition, the list operates as a discussion site for all things related to developing countries and has information about the meetings and topics discussed in the Committee for Development Coordination.

Kv-tutorit@uta.fi is a list for international tutors. Information about practical matters and other matters concerning international tutoring are posted here.

To subscribe to an email list, simply send an email to listserv@uta.fi with one line of text in the body of the note as follows: subscribe [listname] [First name] [Last name]. For example, to subscribe to the IS-list, a person called Ida International would email a note to listserv@uta.fi with one line in the body of the note saying: subscribe is-list Ida International. Please leave the subject line of your email empty and delete any signatures you may have.

To unsubscribe from a list, simply send an email to listserv@uta.fi saying: signoff [listname]. For example, to unsubscribe from the IS-list, your note would say: signoff is-list.

The Secretary for International Affairs acts as the administrator for all these lists, so if you encounter any difficulties, please don't hesitate to contact her.
