Juvenes Corporation is a student-owned company whose stakeholders are Tamy and the Student Union of Tampere University of Technology (TTYY). Juvenes Corporation is the main provider of student and personnel restaurants in the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology. Juvenes also has kiosks, university bookshops, a catering service, facility rental services and printing services. Tamy is represented in the Juvenes Board, in Juvenes Print and in general meetings.
Juvenes Corporation maps the customers' opinions not only through traditional channels of feedback, but also through a customer panel. Its purpose is to increase communication between Juvenes and its customers. The customer panel meets twice a year.
Tampere Student Housing Foundation TOAS
The Tampere Student Housing Foundation, TOAS, is a foundation established in 1959 with the purpose of offering homes to students living in Tampere.
The highest decision-making body in TOAS is the 26-member delegation, where Tamy holds a total of eight seats, which is more than any other single party. Tamy's delegates are nominated by the Council of Representatives. The delegation usually meets twice a year to go over the financial statement and budget and to appoint members to the Board.
Also the 10-member Board has a lot of power in TOAS. Tamy has two seats and two deputy members in the Board. Moreover, the chair's deputy has usually been the chair of Tamy's Executive Board. Tamy is also represented in TOAS's Building Committee.
Finnish Student Health Service FSHS
The Finnish Student Health Service, FSHS, is responsible for your health care for the duration of your studies at the University of Tampere. Please remember to bring your student card with you whenever you use the FSHS's services.
Tamy is represented in the FSHS's Board.
Opiskelijan Tampere is a joint project by the student unions in Tampere and by the Tampere Chamber of Commerce. The most notable of Opiskelijan Tampere's services is the website opiskelijantampere.fi, where you can find a lot of student discounts, an apartment and job exchange, recreational activities and general information about Tampere as a place of study and living in one place.
Opiskelijan Tampere's permanent members are Tamy, the Student Union of Tampere University of Technology (TTYY) and the Student Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Tamko).
Kiinteistö Oy Atalpa
Kiinteistö Oy Atalpa rents the Sports Centre Atalpa's facilities from the University, which is a tenant of the University Properties of Finland. Tamy is represented in Atalpa's Board.
Tampereen Ylioppilastalosäätiö equals Kauppakatu 10. Built in 1901, the building has been donated to student union use in 1968 by the City of Tampere.
The building is still owned by the City of Tampere, but is governed by Tampereen ylioppilastalosäätiö. The foundation's purpose is to look after the building's maintenance. The highest decision-making body in the foundation is a delegation nominated by Tamy's and TTYY's Council of Representatives. The delegation appoints the foundation an Executive Board.
The foundation's duties include collecting rent from the building's users (Tamy, Yo-talo and restaurant Tiiliholvi) and taking care of the building's upkeep and small-scale renovations. Tamy's Secretary General acts as the building's property manager.
